Description + Moments of articulation_Yurim

Sometimes I feel like a I am a storyteller. Everybody, everywhere and every object has its own stories. Until these stories are found by themselves or someone else, these are unknown, unseen, or non-existent. Also, if these are not articulated by anybody else, these are still unrecognised. In this sense, I find it magical when I interact with others and be there together at moments of their articulating of their stories. However, depending on how these stories are sensed, told, described and articulated, it can become various versions of stories. In this sense, not only my description as a researcher but also my participants’ descriptions of their experiences both play important roles.

My role as a storyteller or researcher might be what stories I find out, how I take them out into the world, how I describe/interpret them, and how I communicate them with others. I hope my work can draw attention to unseen and unknown stories or the other side of existent stories, and my description and interpretation of these stories can suggest new angles/perspectives of understanding our lives.
